Haines City has grown faster than any place we serve. It was under twenty-eight thousand people at the last census and it’s close to fifty thousand now. That’s nearly double in six years.
What that means on the ground is that whole subdivisions exist that didn’t a few years ago, and some of them don’t show up properly in navigation yet. If your street is new, give us the cross street or the community name when you book and we’ll find you. It saves everybody a phone call from the truck.
It also means a lot of people here are new. You may not have a repair company yet, because you haven’t needed one. That’s most of who calls us in Haines City, and it’s why we try to make the first experience a straight one.
Haines City was platted in 1884 when the railroad came through, and the citrus growers association here has been running since 1909. This is an old town that grew fast, not a new town. We work in both.

About one home in seven here is a manufactured home. That’s close to eighteen hundred homes, and it’s more than three times the share of anywhere else we work.
We service them, and we know what makes them different. That’s not a courtesy line. It’s a technical fact that costs people money when the company they called doesn’t know it.
Many manufactured homes are built for a twenty-four-inch range, not the thirty-inch range that’s standard in a site-built house. If you buy a thirty-inch unit at a big-box store because it was on sale, it will not fit, and you’ll find that out on delivery day. Same story with some refrigerator and washer openings. Measure — or call us and we’ll tell you what fits.
Some manufactured home communities operate their own water system rather than being on the city’s. If yours does, mention it when you book, because it changes what we look at first.
We charge $79 to come out and diagnose it. You know that number before we leave the shop. If you approve the repair, the $79 comes off the total.
Then we tell you what’s wrong, name the part, tell you what the part costs and what the labor costs, and give you the total. Nothing gets ordered and nothing gets opened up until you say yes to that number.
If you say no, you pay the $79 and that’s the end of it. No pressure, no second phone call, no surprise line on the bill.
We say all this plainly because we know people here have been burned. When the repair is finished you get thirty days in writing on the parts and the labor, and if the same problem comes back inside that window we come back and there’s no additional charge.

1940s and 2020s
Haines City has the oldest houses and the newest houses of anywhere we work, often a few miles apart.
About one home in sixteen here was built before 1950. If yours is one of them, the appliance is usually the newest thing in the kitchen and the house around it is the constraint. Cabinet openings from the 1940s weren’t built to today’s standard sizes. Supply lines and shutoff valves may be original. Electrical capacity may not support what you’re trying to install. None of that means you can’t have a modern appliance — it means somebody should measure and check before the delivery truck arrives instead of after.
At the other end, roughly one home in seven was built in 2020 or later, the highest share of new construction anywhere we serve. If that’s you, your appliances came with the house and most of them are still under manufacturer warranty. Call the manufacturer first.
